Lynda Du Vallier

About Me

My name is Lynda Du Vallier, I'm an Award Winning Photographer.

Lynda Du Vallier is ‘Queen of the Cats’.

Lynda is so congruent with her passion for cats and branding, embracing in all areas of her life the beauty of cats and kittens. Lynda loves to share the delight and wonderful companionship that cats and kittens bring to their owners, who are actually slaves to their cats.

Over the past 15 years, Lynda has influenced and educated thousands of people about responsible cat ownership and has helped people to live a full and purrfect life.

In 2007, she moved from Sydney to Brisbane, believing the Lord had sent her there, knowing no one, nor even why she was there! The day she arrived, she had to take her four cats to a vet and it was there that she met her now husband Michael, who is a veterinarian. It wasn’t long before they realized that they had many things in common and so the rest is history!

Lynda and Mike started breeding Tonkinese and Russian Blue cats in 2010 and they now breed and show Scottish Shorthairs and Russians. They have sent their beautiful cats all around the world to places such as the Netherlands, Hong Kong, Singapore and New Zealand, as well as to every state in Australia.

Lynda has helped rescue, nurture and rehome hundreds of cats and kittens. It doesn’t matter how much time or energy it takes to save a life; Lynda will be the first to say yes. Her devotion to these little ones is incredible and she will do anything to save a life.

Lynda’s passion for photographing cats started when she was ten years of age after she won a waterproof camera in a competition. All she took was many photos of her cat Tiger and her love with photography was born.

In 2010, Lynda set up a makeshift photographic studio in Mike’s vet surgery laundry. There was poor lighting and a few props. Despite this, it was here that Lynda took a beautiful photo of a red kitten sitting on a bike and this photo won first place in the Queensland EKKA photographic competition in 2015. Lynda realised at that point that she had a natural talent or gift to capture the expressions and personalities of cats like no other. Mike encouraged her to do more with her photography.

It was also in 2010 that Lynda and Mike started showing cats at shows. Their first big win was at the 2011 Queensland Ekka when ‘Mercy Miracle Manx’ Lynda’s hand raised cat won Supreme Companion of the show, she climbed up and kissed the judge! Since then, they have been showing every few weeks at local, interstate and national cat shows and particularly enjoy showing in the Companion section – the rescued, non-pedigreed cats. They now have National Champion Companions and many of the Cat of the Year awards filling a trophy room with literally hundreds of ribbons, rosettes and trophies. It is widely known that their cats are well loved, immaculately groomed and extremely affectionate.

In 2017, Mike and Lynda purchased a large boarding cattery in Brisbane where Lynda set up her photography studio in the spare room. It is especially designed to photograph cats in a secure, peaceful environment. If you can’t find Lynda, just look in the studio where she is known to spend hours creating the purrfect photos and playing with kittens.

In 2019, Lynda and Mike married and there were no surprises when her very special 100 per cent hand-raised little cat, Mercy, who she calls her daughter, was rolled down the aisle in a carriage covered in red roses as her flower girl!
Lynda is now a multi-award-winning cat photographer which has significantly contributed to expanding her ‘cat empire’. She has also authored inspirational publications that bring the joy of cats to fellow cat lovers globally.
Lynda’s passion and joy for life multiplied significantly after facing and conquering breast cancer in 2017. Now, she is unstoppable! She has established her ‘Kitty Kastle’ brand and the list of projects she has are always inspirational. She is hard to keep up with and determined to not waste a moment in any day. She wants to spend the next 50-plus years dedicated to sharing her message and passion for life through her photography, speaking and coaching; being an example to others of how to overcome any obstacle in life.

Lynda is now an author, multi-award-winning entrepreneur, multi-award-winning photographer, multi-award-winning business owner, Justice of the Peace (Qualified Qld) and global ambassador for conquering life.

Lynda’s passion is to help you ‘Live your Purrfect life’™
